Raised in the Shenandoah Valley, I am a portrait photographer that demonstrates true-to-life colors and authentic essence within my seniors and couples through vibrant, authentic imagery.
I'm a recent graduate of James Madison University with a degree in Elementary Education. Go Dukes! I grew up in the Shenandoah Valley and currently teach elementary art in Augusta County at the very same elementary school I attended.
The Valley is home to me in many ways, where my business started and continues to grow. I am so passionate about capturing graduates and couples all over the Valley and always willing to travel!
01. During the school year, I'm Ms. Aldhizer (sometimes Ms. ARThizer) an elementary school art teacher and loving it!
02. I want to be Dolly Parton when I grow up.
03. I love to travel and explore but call the mountains home!
Hey, let's have FUN! I will absolutely talk your ear off during a session. My priority is to make you feel as comfortable and confident as possible. I cannot wait to hang with you and your people! I value your experience as much as your photos. Let's do it!
"Megan was absolutely AMAZING as our wedding photographer. She was always available for us to contact and talk about what we wanted in our photos and captured every single photo we asked for. Her work was flawless, and we love all of our wedding photos. She was very professional, friendly, and easy to work with."
"We selected Megan to do my daughter's JMU graduation photos, only having info we saw on social media. Boy, did we hit the jackpot! Megan was professional, arrived with a suggested plan, and was FUN to work with. We were super happy with the photos taken by this very talented photographer! Highly recommend."
"I have struggled all my life with insecurities, never wanting to be in photos...until Megan. She makes me feel beautiful, confident, and worth being photographed. Megan has captured every important moment of my life for the last four years. There is no one else my husband and I would trust the way we do Megan Aldhizer Photography!"
