Allie & Bryce’s story began years ago in grade school. Their love continued to grow and stand the test of time. I am so grateful to have captured the day they vowed to forever.
A Dreamy Shenandoah Valley Wedding at Big Spring Farm
Nestled in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, Allie & Bryce tied the knot at Virginia’s crown jewel of wedding venues – Big Spring Farm in Lexington, Virginia. This 500-acre property provides versatile photo opportunities whether that’s the weeping willows against the sparkling pond, their stunning hydrangea bushes in full bloom, or the top of the hill against Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, just to name a few. Big Spring is a dream.
The day began with gifts and teary eyes in the bridal suite. Allie is one of the most kind-hearted humans I’ve ever met. That was made evident seeing the love and intention she poured into her closest friends and family, even in her role as the bride. The tears continued to flow during an emotional first touch when Bryce & Allie exchanged personal vows. The strength and love between these two radiates to everyone around them. I am honored to tell their story as authentically as possible.
Post ceremony, we fought the raindrops off with the magic of Noah Kahan’s new album playing from my portable speaker. We climbed the hill at Big Spring and danced around overlooking the mountains. At one point Allie looked at us and said, “I’m having the time of my life!” As a wedding photographer, that’s what matters the most to me. The moment. How it feels. Your experience on your wedding day. I want you to look back on your wedding gallery in twenty years and remember playing tag on top of the world as a newly married couple. I want you to love taking your photos just as much as you love the photographs themselves. I will do everything in my power to cultivate that moment and make the absolute most of our time together.
From walking their dogs down the aisle to deliver the rings, dedicating Allie’s bouquet to her sweet mama, an exciting reception game, down to the music choices during the ceremony, this day was full of joy and love. From start to finish, the intentionality behind it came together beautifully with an amazing vendor team that brought the vision to life. I was just fortunate enough to document it.
